ALEX SELECTED BY YRDA PROGRAM
Young Cornish karting star Alex Quinn has attracted the attention of the Arden and TBOS backed 'Young Racing Driver Academy' after his eye-catching performances over the past two years, which saw him become a three time British Vice Champion, Kartmasters Grand Prix Winner and a top performer on the European scene.
The YRDA is a motorsport academy focused on the supporting the development of talented young racing drivers as they make their journey up the highly competitive motorsport ladder.
The YRDA and its partners, which include leading motorsport team Arden, international sports management consultancy TBOS, Spire Perform and Silverstone, will work closely with Alex to hone his on and off track skill set and provide him with the best possible transition from karting into single seater racing.
As part of the transitional approach to driver development, the YRDA will focus on all of the key areas that a young driver requires in the modern motorsport environment, which include off track skills such as media and sponsor responsibilities, brand development, communications and marketing.
Alex recently visited Arden's HQ in Banbury where the deal was struck for Alex to become a YRDA supported driver.
THE AIM OF THE YRDA IS TO IDENTIFY TALENTED YOUNG RACING DRIVERS AND SUPPORT AND NURTURE THEM AS THEY DEVELOP THE BEST POSSIBLE SKILL SET FOR THE MODERN MOTORSPORT ENVIRONMENT
Alongside his usual racing and testing commitments Alex will receive training on Arden's state of the art simulator, human performance monitoring and evaluation and guidance on the core areas including:
- Interview Skills & Public Speaking;
- Media & PR;
- General Fitness & Nutrition;
- Psychology of Sport;
- Motorsport Business Awareness; and
- Optimal race preparation.

Back to the racing... 2015 is upon us, Alex and Team Quinn will be flying out to Campillos for the annual Rotax Winter Cup.
This will be Alex's first race as an official CRG Factory Driver, as he competes on board full CRG equipment in the Junior Rotax category.
The aim is to build upon a fantastic debut in the Euro Challenge last season and reach the top step of the podium in Europe!
